The Green Business Partnership was developed by Sarasota County, Florida under a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Their application checklist provides a really outstanding blueprint for businesses that want to go green.
Co-op America's Green Business Program provides the networks, resources, and technical assistance for socially and environmentally responsible businesses to emerge and thrive in communities across the US.
The San Mateo County Green Business Program is a model partnership between local governments, environmental agencies and utility companies. It assists, recognizes and promotes businesses and government agencies that volunteer to operate in an environmentally responsible way.
The Green Chamber of Commerce began in California and is growing rapidly as a networking opportunity for green businesses. Members are required to practice green measures in the operation of their businesses such as conserving energy and other natural resources, while using the minimum amount of toxic or hazardous materials.
